Düsseldorf/Jandelsbrunn, 29 August 2022. The view into the 16 halls of the Düsseldorf exhibition centre left no room for doubt at Caravan Salon 2022’s first weekend: the high level of interest and enthusiasm for mobile holidays continues unchanged. In the first three days alone, the organiser counted more than 70,000 visitors. Fittingly, Gerd Adamietzki, CSO of Knaus Tabbert AG, was very positive about the event in Düsseldorf: „We are very pleased with the way the trade fair has gone so far. Sales even exceeded our expectations.”

Knaus Tabbert is exhibiting a large number of new models and innovations at its Caravan Salon stand. The KNAUS TOURER CUV, which celebrated its launch last Friday in KNAUS Hall 1, was met with exceptional interest and applause, not only because it is a new model, but also as it represents a completely new vehicle category. Based on the popular Volkswagen T 6.1, KNAUS defines the architecture of the popular CUV (Caravanning Utility Vehicle) in a surprisingly different way: when driving, the extremely compact, low‐level vehicle promises enormous manoeuvrability; when on holiday, on the other hand, its clever, electrically extending roof not only offers 70 cm more height, but also houses a host of innovative solutions inside. The TOURER CUV comprises up to four sleeping spaces and a bathroom over an outer length of less than 5.90 metres.

The KNAUS AZUR, the new premium series in the brand’s caravan segment, is no less exciting. It uses pioneering frame technology, whereby robots precisely bond the 22 components together. This creates a self‐supporting, high‐strength frame, which allows unimaginable freedom in the floor plan and room design, as the vehicles displayed in KNAUS Hall 1 demonstrate. Its new finish is particularly resistant, even self‐healing and easy to repair.

TABBERT has brought another surprising innovation to Düsseldorf in the form of the PEP PANTIGA. The caravan, developed entirely in‐house, does not follow the constraints of strict model ranges. It breaks ranks somewhat and actually does a lot of things differently. With a fresh design, intelligent technology and a straightforward interior design, it redefines caravanning for an active, mobile and young target audience – without sacrificing the solidity and quality that is typical of TABBERT.

Knaus Tabbert will be wowing the public at Caravan Salon 2022 with a wide variety of other innovations. As an industry innovation driver, the Jandelsbrunn manufacturer, with its brands KNAUS, WEINSBERG, TABBERT, T@B, MORELO and RENT AND TRAVEL, seamlessly covers every leisure vehicle segment, as trade fair visitors can experience in Halls 1, 4 and 5 until 4 September 2022.
