Dear customers and partners

The coronavirus/COVID‐19 continues to dominate the headlines and is affecting all of our lives, both privately and professionally. At Knaus Tabbert, we continue to focus intensively on the risks and their prevention on a regular basis. This naturally concerns our employees, dealers and our production operations including the entire supply chain, and also our customers.

In the following, we aim to do our best to answer any questions you may have:

How is Knaus Tabbert as a manufacturer dealing with the coronavirus crisis?

Knaus Tabbert has been observing and assessing past and current developments very thoroughly. In order to make day‐to‐day work operations as safe as possible for our employees, we have developed and implemented comprehensive safety concepts and appropriate measures.

These include measuring body temperature at the entrances and mandatory protective masks on the entire premises as well as many other individual protective measures in each area. For this reason, factory tours and pick‐ups are currently not possible.

In all of our decisions, we place top priority on the health of our employees and their families, the economic integrity of our dealers worldwide and the well‐being of Knaus Tabbert as a secure employer!

Is the delivery date of my vehicle guaranteed?

Due to the pandemic, interruptions in the supply chain and therefore occasional delays in delivery may occur. We kindly ask for your understanding in this regard. Please contact your dealer if you have any further questions regarding your new vehicle and the upcoming delivery date.

What is the current supply situation with regard to motorhomes and CUVs?

Bottlenecks in materials procurement, production, delivery and logistics are also massively impacting the chassis manufacturers who supply us.

The lack of semiconductors in the vehicle industry remains critical. However, insufficient microchips also lead to shortages of basic vehicles. This is acutely affecting the entire recreational vehicle industry.

Many chassis suppliers have had to close their plants for days or even weeks due to a lack of materials. Experts believe that this situation will continue to affect worldwide production operations in 2022.

Due to the changeover to Series 8 vehicles last year, the FIAT Ducato has been particularly hard hit by the current chip shortage.

For our customers, this means that numerous vehicles ordered may be subject to further considerable delays, which in some cases may amount to several months.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that either our partners or our company can do about the disrupted supply chains. As a consequence, further delays in delivery cannot be ruled out.

What about my visit to a Knaus Tabbert workshop?

Please refrain from spontaneous visits in the near future; instead, contact us by telephone beforehand. We wish to protect both you and our employees to the greatest possible extent! Should you have already arranged a workshop visit at one of the Knaus Tabbert plants, you will of course be notified if the appointment cannot take place.

Will my dealer be attending the trade fair?

Due to current developments, social contacts are to be avoided in line with government instructions. This also includes trading events. In order to offer you the best possible protection, our dealers have been advised to postpone or adapt their event concept. For the latest information, please visit our website (www.knaustabbert.de/events) or contact your dealer directly.

What about rental vehicles that have already been booked?

Your booking will not be cancelled. Our retail partners and rental stations have already been given suggestions and recommendations on how to deal with the current situation and your requests. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with your rental station.

Please be assured that we review the procurement situation of our suppliers, official requirements and other developments on a daily basis. We will adapt flexibly and quickly to the current circumstances and act accordingly. Moreover, we will provide you with timely information on a regular basis. We are well equipped to remain a strong and reliable partner at your side, both now and in the future.
