At Knaus Tabbert, quality is written with a capital "Q"
Jandelsbrunn. How satisfied are you with your caravan? Where do defects occur over time? These questions formed the background of a major reader survey conducted by German specialist magazine CARAVANING. To identify the best used models, the editorial department spent a year gathering accounts from hundreds of readers detailing their experiences with different caravans. And the results show: At Knaus Tabbert, quality is written with a capital „Q‟. The CARAVANING readers awarded the highest satisfaction marks across numerous aspects of the camping experience to caravans by Knaus Tabbert.
For example, the TABBERT DA VINCI claimed numerous first and second places: With the outstanding mark of 1.98 (average of all ratings submitted for the DA VINCI) for the bathroom, the caravan scored significantly above the average of the twelve caravans tested, putting it in first place. Users are also more than happy with the safety features of the DA VINCI: 99 percent of participants reported no complaints regarding safety‐relevant components such as the stabilisation system or external lighting. As a result, DA VINCI also achieved first place in this category. Regarding the overall impression and satisfaction with the vehicle, the DA VINCI achieved a highly commendable second place with a mark of 1.84 – only missing first place by a very small margin. The caravan also ranked second in the areas of beds/sleeping comfort as well as workmanship. What’s more, TABBERT customers are exceptional loyal: 94 percent of the survey respondents indicated that they would choose the TABBERT brand again when purchasing a caravan.
WEINSBERG is also one of the frontrunners among the used models with the CaraOne. In the areas of chassis and brakes, the caravan performed much better than the average and achieved first place. Even after years of intensive use, scarcely any CARAVANING readers complained of faults with the chassis or brake system. Likewise, the windows and skylights, the assembly of the refrigerator as well as the water system performed very well to claim top spot in the evaluation. The virtually trouble‐free performance of the on‐board electrical system also saw readers award it a strong second place. In addition, the CaraOne requires very few unscheduled workshop visits, which explains why 93 percent of participants would purchase another WEINSBERG vehicle.
As well as being a cult favourite, the T@B is also one of the best used models with among the strongest residuals. Its handling characteristics achieved an outstanding mark of 1.4, which saw the caravan with its retro style secure an impressive second place. The majority of survey participants are extremely satisfied with this caravan’s exceptionally low susceptibility to damage: 93 percent would choose another T@B. The high residual value is also particularly noteworthy. The rating by CARAVANING demonstrated that even after ten years, a T@B can expect to retain 64 percent of the original purchase price on the used market – just one of many aspects that reflect the quality and durability of Knaus Tabbert products.
A few more examples of this worth mentioning: Since model year 2018, Knaus Tabbert offers a ten‐year impermeability guarantee on all its vehicles. We are also the only manufacturer in the industry to equip our vehicles with a central service module, which offers easy access to all the important connections and therefore a high degree of operating convenience. Water pipes are insulated and protected against frost.
TABBERT caravans are equipped, for example, with the patented rear‐ventilated TABBERT roof offering excellent stability and noise insulation: At 58 millimetres, it is almost twice as thick as a conventional, sandwich‐compacted standard roof, which also dramatically reduces noise, e. g. during hail or rain, and improving the caravan’s insulation. The TABBERT comfort sleep system also ensures an optimised, healthy sleeping environment and is considered the industry benchmark.
These and many other points demonstrate emphatically why all Knaus Tabbert products, both on the market and with many satisfied customers, are more than impressive, and why the company’s used caravans compete so successfully for customer sales. Quality Made by Knaus Tabbert simply pays off.
